Mission

TCI-K promotes medical innovation by connecting clinical questions and innovative research ideas generated in everyday practice to the creation of new healthcare solutions, with a focus on practical implementation and social application.

Vision

TCI-K aims to foster a university environment in which research is regarded as a natural extension of daily clinical practice and as “a challenge to shape the future of patient care.”

TCI-K focuses on translational research, clinical research methodology, research ethics, data reliability, and regulatory science to advance innovative healthcare solutions. Through collaboration with domestic and international researchers, medical institutions, and industry partners, the department promotes multicenter collaborative research and investigator-initiated clinical trials. Leveraging the large-scale clinical infrastructure of Kawasaki Medical School, TCI-K advances medical innovation from concept to implementation through an integrated and interdisciplinary approach.
