  1. A study that comprehensively analyzes genetic data related to human diseases.
While the relationship between human diseases and RNA is being compiled into a database, data analysis research based on medical knowledge will also be required in the future. The Department of Hygiene aims to develop bioinformatics technology that gives new interpretations to disease prevention by linking existing or new data on transcripts with clinical data such as medical history and imaging data.
  2. Research aimed at extracting functional RNA sequences using a comprehensive analysis platform for RNA function based on CRISPR / dCas13.
The hygiene classroom uses the platform CRISPR / Cas13 technology. This CRISPR / Cas13 technology targets only RNA sequences and performs biological functional analysis centered on RNA functional sequences. Using this CRISPR / Cas13 technology, we aim to elucidate the disease morbidity mechanism caused by RNA function.
